Nostro Model
A core feature of our building model is the use of alternative materials such as lime and rice husk ash to partially replace cement. This significantly reduces reliance on high-cement construction while encouraging the use of locally available, renewable resources. It also supports healthier surroundings by lowering exposure to harmful emissions associated with traditional construction methods.
This approach places Nostro within the broader post-modern industrial shift, where waste materials are repurposed into valuable resources and industries move toward smarter, more sustainable systems. We hope to work with the Africa industrialisation wave and position her at the fore of this movement through innovation in eco-construction and the productive use of agricultural by-products. Nostro reflects this progress by aligning local resource use with modern development thinking.
Beyond physical structures, the project supports community stability and inclusion. We recognize the important role women play in strengthening families and communities, and our developments aim to create environments that encourage female participation, safety, and economic engagement.
